The science of Ergonomics has been growing as an important cornerstone of the Design business. Design Engineering as a discipline takes much of Human Factors into account, (link, strength & spatial measurements), but falls short of folding in the nuances of Ergonomics, Anatomy & Physiology. These combined with higher Problem Solving techniques are paramount to me in the endeavor of true Design.

Some of my strengths include combining communication, education, and innovation through creative problem solving and coordination with other disciplines within an organization. With emphasis on market and product life cycle analysis, product liability, safety, issues of Human Factors, Ergonomics, Proximics and Aesthetics.

I regularly employ General Systems Theory, (created by Ludwig von Bertalanffy,1901-72), which postulates that everything follows a common system of components and function in a holistic, general sense. Everything from an atom; to a typewriter, to a heart, to a human body, to an ecosystem, to an airport, to a planet, to the universe…

Like an actor learning different skills for different roles, I have taken great pleasure in learning all that I can about other’s job functions and programs so that what I create for a company fullfills the goals of that company and supports the bottom line.
